Take this recent project as an example. We partnered with a UK based robotic systems integrator to supply key components for a complete industrial robotic welding cell. Kyrus worked closely with the integrator to develop a fully pre-fabricated enclosure, complete with our high-speed roller door. This door not only ensures safe and efficient access for the operator, but is seamlessly integrated into the enclosure for a clean and professional look.
Since the integrator specialises in robotic welding, one of their critical requirements was a Kyrus TS250 servo trunnion turntable positioner. This allowed the operator to safely load parts into the fixture while the robot completes the welding inside the cell. The servo trunnion enables precise rotational positioning of the fixture, allowing robot access at optimal angles to produce high-quality welds. In this case, coordinated motion was implemented which synchronises the fixture rotation with the robot’s movements for flawless welds.
Throughout the design process, Kyrus and the integrator collaborated closely and refined the layout through several iterations until everything was signed off by all parties. The final solution included a welded steel base and was delivered fully assembled. However, we also offer flat-pack kits, allowing system builders to assemble cells on-site when needed.
With our pre-fabricated solution, the system builder simply needed to install their robot, welding equipment, fixtures, and HMI/control system. By handling the enclosure, turntable, and access systems, Kyrus helped free up their engineering team to focus on the parts of the process that matter most: fixture design, weld quality, and system control.
